The Best Birds Fly South!

The best birds fly south when the winter months hit. As the UK moves into autumn, I’ve flown into the southern hemisphere to welcome in the springtime, catch up with some old friends, taste the local honey and see what’s going on down under.

A house with an obedient dog, Florence Broadhurst wall hangings and vintage jelly moulds will be my home for the next few weeks.

It’s customary for me to snoop around my hosts’ houses in the name of research of course so I can share my inspirations.

In between writing, one is hoping to sneak into the headquarters of Signature prints, discuss the future of small bars in sydney with the Mayor of Sydney, check out a few local artists and designers… and I hear the surfs not bad here too…

I spotted the engraved milk bottle in the front by school friend and now glass artist Charlotte Hughes-Martin

Wibble wobble, wibble wobble, jelly on a plate!

A suitcase of treasure!
