I am well cool me. Well, I happen to have some cool friends that I hang on to hoping that I will be cool by proxy. You know, the ones that make chain smoking look cool?
I planned to write another chapter of my book… after first cheering up an upset friend by taking her to one of the Last Tuesday Society’s Animal parties – that’s the kind of girl I am! Nothing gets you out of the black hole of misery than dressing up as a beast and hugging a few bears right? It was just around the corner from the North London Chick Pad and it was for charidy (Save the Rhino). Rude not to really. More importantly, it did the job.
It normally takes me a whole weekend to recover, so what would get me out of my kaftan and yaks blanket on a Sunday afternoon? Front row at London Fashion Week? Oh go on then.
Rocking my kaftan and leopard ears, accessorized with apple green Ray Beries and pencil in hair would have sent those hard at work fashion bloggers at Somerset House into a frenzy I’m absolutely sure. I enjoyed the parade of guests working the courtyard for the paps just as much as the shows. Long lens or Iphones – whatever the weapon of choice, everyone can take a piece of the action. I loved that nestled between the desks for Press, Buyers, VIPs, was one that was dedicated just for Bloggers.
So, you’re probably wondering how I ended up on the FROW with Zara Martin (name dropping) and Pixie Lott (name dropping) at the Mark Fast (name dropping) show at the ME rooftop (interiors by Norman Foster – not too shabby). No it wasn’t a mistake! I just have that cool by proxy thing. So cool, I left my (only) Marc Jacobs bag there after the show – I did say BY PROXY! Screen printing a Duh-brain! t-shirt to wear next time.
Tomorrow I’ll be reporting on the tribal kaleidoscope prints from the FROW at Peter Pilotto. In my dreams that is.
A few of my own attempts to spot some street style!
