I love a factory visit and this one is probably very busy this half term. I didn’t get an Oompa Loompa to take home on my visit but there was plenty of chocolate tasting and free chocolate given out throughout the experience. For those that are interested, the Cadburys not only invented all sorts of yummy chocolate bars but also built a whole village for chocolate factory workers which included public baths, schools and post office – one of the earliest planned communities in the UK. Covered in a few inches of snow, it looked like the perfect chocolate box village.
